ESREL - SRA-E 2025 Conference Award Winners Announced

Stavanger, June 2025 – We are pleased to announce the award winners from this year's ESREL - SRA-E 2025 conference, held from 15 to 19 June in Stavanger, Norway. This event highlighted significant contributions to safety techniques, risk management, and the development of new reliability methodologies.


Best Student Paper Awards:

  • Safety Techniques and Risk Management Approaches:

    • Zehui Xuan for the paper: "Condition-Based Maintenance for Large-Scale Fleets under Multiple Constraints: A Constrained MDP Model with Primal-Dual Solution"

  • Theoretical Developments of New Reliability Techniques:

    • Dawid Ochnio for the paper: "Subinterval Sensitivity for High Dimensional Models"


Best Paper Awards:

  • Theoretical Developments of New Reliability Techniques:

    • Dirk Söffker & Olena Shyshova for their paper: "Reliability or ethics: Why should the human decision be initial or final?"

  • Safety Techniques and Risk Management Approaches:

    • Marc Zeller & Ronald Schnitzer for their paper: "Assuring Safety of AI-based Systems: Lessons Learned for a Driverless Regional Train Case Study"
