Call for Support

Introduction

The European Safety and Reliability Association (ESRA) is providing support for activities related to the organisation of workshops, technical meetings, short-courses, summer schools, benchmarks activities and any other activities that are relevant to the mission of ESRA (see https://esra.website/about  for more details).  The call covers activities organised between June 2024 and March 2025.

Eligibility

  • ESRA Technical Committees as defined in https://esra.website/technical-committees;
  • ESRA working groups (created by the Management Board, on its own initiative or upon the
  • proposal of one of the ESRA members);
  • National Chapters;
  • Individual members of ESRA or part of a host institution that is current member of ESRA.

Eligible costs

  • Travel costs (economic class only); subsistence (hotel, AirBnB, etc..), registration fees and visas costs for participants and invited speakers;
  • Support to participation (e.g. registration fees);
  • Cost related to dissemination and outreach;
  • Other relevant costs that support ESRA mission

Consumables nor equipment – including laptops – are not generally eligible except proven essential for the proposed activity.

The requested cost must be fully justified and capped at €5000.

Timing

The application must be submitted using the provided online form by 31 of May 2024.

Terms and conditions of the grant

  • Evidence of expenditure must be returned by 30 March 2025
  • Before the event: announce the proposed activities on the ESRA website and newsletters;
  • After the event: write a detailed report (or white paper) related to the events that can be stored and shared on the ESRA website.

Required documents

  • Justification for Grant. Explain why you are applying for the support grant and how the proposed activity will align with ESRA mission and/or it will benefit ESRA members
  • Justification of resources: estimate of the costs associated with the proposed activities and any relevant expenses
  • Draft of the proposed activities for ESRA website
