How to perform portfolio selection (PS) based on additive models when the interval scale is the only form of measurement? This thesis provides an answer to this question by presenting an efficient approach to selecting a set of the most unsafe sections of a Natural Gas Pipelines (NGP). To achieve this, a multi-attribute risk evaluation model based on the MAUT for an NGP is combined with an algorithm based on the implicit enumeration scheme to examine candidate solutions to the problem and guide portfolio selection. Therefore, this approach offers more reliable portfolio selection recommendations and a comprehensive range of information.
