GIS-based multicriteria decision-making for flood risk prioritization in urban areas under climate change effects (2022)

This PhD work presents a collection of multi-attribute decision models for prioritizing flood risks in urban areas under climatic change and urbanization effects, thereby considering socioeconomic, environmental, and mobility aspects. In light of the Expected Utility theory, this work proposes methodological advances and application in the practical context. With the aid of a decision support system, the thesis allows traditional preference elicitation procedures to tackle the time dependency, especially to improve the implementation of urban climate adaptation policies.
