Accident and Incident Modeling

This Technical Committee addresses modelling and analyses of accidents and incidents to help us understand what are the risk contributing factors and the most effective barriers for controlling risk. We would like to understand not only why accidents occur, but also why they do not occur by studying relevant incidents and near misses. We explore different accident models, examples are: simple linear accident models (such as layers of protection models), complex linear models (such as network models) or non linear or systemic models.
